Most of us can call this passage to mind about the wise and foolish builders. My husband and I are currently in the process of watching a house being built. There is so much that goes into the building process but the foundation is the most important. This isn’t new news to any of us, yet it’s so tempting to take shortcuts when life gets busy and deadlines are nipping at our heals.
Remember today, that NOTHING is more important than the foundation of our faith in Jesus, the Rock of our salvation. Take a moment today to assess what you’ve been building on in different areas of your life. Spend your time wisely and build upon your faith in Jesus. He wants to expand and restore your dwelling space. He is the master architect, builder, and fixer-upper! Things may look messier before they look better, but you can trust His hand and heart even when you don’t understand or enjoy the process.
Let’s cheer each other on in the building phases of life. Maybe it’s time for an old-fashioned “barn raising” within our communities. Hard work is always more enjoyable with help!
